I grew up as an only child with two very loving parents. They were both very academic, strong readers, and thinkers. My father passed away in 1989 from pancreas cancer, and I was 22 and very wrapped up in my own life at the time. It was not later until the impact of losing my father would hit me. He was a good willed man and a faithful man.
My Mother was a strong woman, that never complained, with a great sense of humor. We were blessed to have her living next door to us for 5 years before she passed away on December 26, 2009. She is truly missed, but left us with a great legacy of strength and memories of joy. She became a believer 3 months before she went to be with the Lord, but she was churched her whole life.
I was not a confident child, but I seemed to muddle through and grew into myself in college. I was happy as a child and felt secure and loved. I now love my family, the country, avid exercise, and being outside. I wish I was passionate about one hobby but I seem to find interest in many things, and therefore not extraordinary at anything. I have a wonderful husband and 4 healthy blessings from the Lord. I would like to use my blog as a journal about how God has moved and does move in my life. I have many things to share, through trials about faith and surrender. If no one reads my blog, I hope it provides me the opportunity to thank the Lord through my thoughts for his impact on my life. If someone does read it one day, then I hope to glorify god by touching someone else's life in a positive and helpful way!
